3017 Gallery invites artists to submit work for Out of Shape, an exhibition celebrating unconventional forms, irregular edges, and artwork that moves beyond the traditional rectangle.
This exhibition explores shape as both a compositional element and a physical object. We welcome work featuring shaped canvases, abstracted forms, irregular compositions, unconventional framing, sculptural wall pieces, and other inventive approaches to form. Whether organic or geometric, subtle or dramatic, Out of Shape celebrates artwork where shape is central to the piece itself.
Artists working in all media are encouraged to apply. Painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, fiber, woodworking, mixed media, printmaking, photography, and more are welcome, provided the work engages with the theme through form, structure, or presentation.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: August 29th

Whether psychological, supernatural, grotesque, or quietly unsettling, we encourage artists to explore the unknown and invite viewers into worlds that defy explanation.

Artists are encouraged to submit work that embraces the possibilities of working within a smaller format.
