JULY OPEN CALL

3017 Gallery invites artists to submit work for Chroma, an exhibition celebrating the luminosity and expressive range of pastel and colored pencil.

This exhibition seeks works that highlight the unique ability of these mediums to capture color with vibrancy, nuance, and depth. From bold, saturated hues to delicate shifts in tone and atmosphere, Chroma explores the versatility of pastel and colored pencil as mediums capable of conveying light, emotion, texture, and atmosphere.

Artists are encouraged to showcase the distinctive qualities of their chosen medium through thoughtful explorations of color, composition, and expression. We welcome representational, abstract, and experimental approaches that celebrate the richness and possibilities of both pastel and colored pencil.

Submission Details

Open to artists working primarily in pastel and/or colored pencil
Extended submission deadline: July 27
Exhibition opens August 8

Selected artists will be notified shortly after the close of submissions.
